ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Dr. Gaytri Tiwari, a specialist in Human Development and Family Studies from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, pursued her Ph.D. in Psychology from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. She has vast experience of 22 years in teaching, research and extension. Dr. Gaytri Tiwari has been conferred Best Teacher Award (2007) by Rotary Mewar; Excellence in Teaching (2008) by Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhaskar Woman of the year Award (2010) for public and social service at zonal level and Best Teacher Award (2010) by Narayan Seva Sansthan.
As a researcher she has to her credit more than 211 research papers, articles and expert comments in national and international journals, popular magazines and Newspaper in both Hindi and English. She has prepared Death Anxiety Scale (DAS) which has been published by National Psychological Corporation (NPC), Agra. She has presented papers in more than 65 Seminars, Conferences, Workshops and Trainings in India and Abroad at China, Malaysia, South Africa and Canada to name a view. She has been a key member in selection committees of Nursery, Primary and secondary School teachers, technical advisor in research committees of JATAN and Rajasthan Vidhyapeeth (Deemed University). Dr. Tiwari is also a member in Board of Management (BOM),St. Teresa’s Sr. Sec. School, Udaipur; member of SIERT, Udaipur for development of stimulatory educational material for children and curriculum development for ECCE under National Curriculum Framework (NCF),New Delhi. Her contribution towards building and upliftment of the society has been immense as she has been involved in many NGO’S like Aajeevika Bureau,Aastha and JATAN. She is also a nominated member of Academic Council, MPUAT, Udaipur; CLG (Community Liaison Group) of Mahila police thana, Udaipur and District level Committee for protection of Protection of Sexual harassment at work place.
Apart from all this she is also an excellent orator and has delivered more than 100 of Radio and T.V. talks, Invited lectures, has been panelist in T.V. programmes and columnist in News paper.
At present she is working as Jr. Scientist in the department of HDFS, College of Home Science, MPUAT, Udaipur (RAJASTHAN)
Prof. L.L. Somani (b1945) holds a brilliant academic record. He started his carrer as Research Assistant and rose to the position of Director of Resident Instruction (MPUAT, Udaipur) from where he superannuated in October, 2005. He has published several books and over 300 research/technical articles in reputed journals. He has been honoured by several awards for his outstanding contributions.
Prof. S.K. Acharya, is a man from Social Science who is famous for his innovative ideas, thoughts and approaches in the aegis of Agricultural Extension. His constructive thoughts and his hard work in academics and the good relationship with the students established him as the benevolent and devotee academic member in Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal, India around twenty four years. This erudite and pleasant personality is presently offering his service as the Professor and Head, Department of Agricultural Extension, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur, Nadia, and West Bengal, India. His innovative approaches and concepts in the aegis of Extension Education helps him to establish as the experienced expert in different ODI projects in the specialized area of Participatory Extension, Technology Socialization, Participatory Project Management, Value added Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Micro Planning, Universalisation of Primary Education, Joint Forest Management. He acted as a member Agriculture Commission, Govt. of West Bengal in extension chapter. Throughout his bright academic period he has also associated with the Distance Education delivered by IGNOU. He has so far published 75 research papers in different National and International Journals and 23 numbers of books. He has participated in international congress of IUAES in Italy, China, Bangladesh as speaker.
