ABOUT THE AUTHOR

The author Dr. D.V. Subhashini received both M.Sc. (Microbiology) and Ph.D. (Microbiology) degrees from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. She started her career as a Scientist (Microbiology) in Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Dr. Subhashini has published number of research papers in various national and international journals and popular articles in scientific magazines. She has been carrying out the research for two decades. She guided several post graduate students in Microbiology for their research project work. Dr. Subhashini is a life member of several scientific societies’ viz., Indian Science Congress Association, Association of Microbiologists of India, Indian Society of Tobacco Science, Plant Protection Association of India, and Society for Bio control Advancement etc.

At present the author is working as a Senior Scientist in Central Tobacco Research Institute, Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India and her work is frequently cited world-wide in peer reviewed journals and books in Soil and Agricultural Microbiology.
