ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Prof. (Dr.) L.L. Somani (b.1945) Retired Director (RI) & Dean PG Studies, MPUAT Udaipur has many papers published in National and International Journals/Symposia, etc. and many number of books to his credit in different disciplines of Agriculture and allied field. Prof Somani has served as SOIL PHYSIST in Gujarat Agricultural University and in Rajasthan agricultural University for several years and has developed COMPACTION TECHNOLOGY for improving the productivity of sandy soils. He held different positions in MPUAT and has spreaded highly innovative ideas and programmes for development of Agriculture. Prof. Somani has been honoured with several awards.

Prof. S.K. Sharma (b.1957) is presently working as Principal Investigator in AICRP on long term Fertiliser Expetriments. He has been awarded young scientist fellowship by FAO for studies on Integrated Nutient Management at NSW, Australia. Dr Sharma has also worked as Principal Investigator in TMC Project of INM in cotton, RWSRP project for strengthening soil and water analysis laboratory for sub-humid zone of Rajasthan. Prof. Sharma has been honored to become Chair Person of prestigeous IFFCO Chair.
