This book has been primarily written for the UG students of SAUs. The book covers the entire syllabi recommended by 5th Dean’s Committee of ICAR. It covers all the aspects of renewable energy including renewable energy sources, energy from biomass, biogas technology, solar energy, solar collectors, solar photovoltaic technology, wind energy, biofuel and biodiesel production and energy conservation in agriculture. The book covers all the applied aspects for efficient utilization of these renewable sources of energy as prescribed in the syllabi. The book is a systematic presentation of theory of various energy technologies with neat and clean sketches and figures.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Dr. Sunil Kumar Dadhich having completed Ph.D. From MPUAT, Udaipur under took Post-doctoral research at IARI, New Delhi. At present he is serving as Assistant Professor at Dryland Farming Research Station, Arjia, Bhilwara (Rajasthan). Dr. Dadhich is also working as Principal Investigator of R.K.V.Y. Project Anaerobic Decomposition of Fruit/Vegetable Waste & Agri Waste to Produce Biogas and Organic Manure. He has been Director of ICAR sponsored Summer School on Production of Bio-C.N.G. and Organic Manure Through Anaerobic Agrowaste Decomposition Techniques (2017) and Co-ordinator of a winter school on Enhancing The Productivity of Rainfed Agro-Ecosystem Through Suitable Interventions (2018). He has published several research papers in journals of national and international repute. He has written two scholarly books for UG students.
L.L. Somani is Retired Director Resident Instructions, MPUAT, Udaipur. He has over 400 research and technical articles to his credit. He has authored/edited over 135 scholarly books in various field of agriculture. Prof. Somani has been honored with several academic excellence awards for his outstanding achievements.
