The book has been written to cover the core course, ‘ GLOBAL EXTENSION SYSTEMS’ in the discipline of EXTENSION EDUCATION as per the syllabus recommended by V^th  Deans’ Committee of ICAR at Graduate Level in all State Agricultural Universities and Agricultural Colleges in the country. It is equally useful for young faculty members and also as a reference book for other users. Chapters  contained in this book are written systematically in simple and lucid language with several figures and illustrations for ease in comprehension of the students. The book is very comprehensive publication and readers do not have to refer to other books for understanding of the contents.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Dr. Vishakha Bansal is presently working as Professor in the Department of Extension Education & Communication Management, CCAS, MPUAT, Udaipur. She is at present posted in All India Coordinated Research Project: Home Science. She is Technical Coordinator of AICRP – H.Sc. Extension Component. She obtained her M.Sc. degree in Home Science Extension Education in 1994 from RAU, Bikaner and Ph.D. degree in Home Science Extension and Communication Management in 2006 from MPUAT, Udaipur, Rajasthan. She has 23 years’ of service experience in Extension, Teaching and Research. She has guided 4 PG students and at present co-advisor of 7 PG students.

She has 40 research paper in NAAS rated National and International Journals, 65 popular articles, 1 book, 25 technical bulletins, 20 radio talks, 6 folder/leaflets, and 2 book chapters. She is life member of 4 professional societies and received 5 Professional awards of National and State repute.

Dr. N. R. Meena is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Extension Education , College of Agriculture ANDUAT, Kumarganj, Ayodhya, U.P. India. He did his B.Sc. Ag (Hons), M.Sc. and Ph.D. (Extension Education)from Rajasthan, College of Agriculture, MPUAT, Udaipur, Rajasthan. Dr. Meena has five year of experience in Teaching, Research and Extension activities. Dr. Meena authored 2 books and published many research papers in National and International peer reviewed Journals. He has also published many popular articles. He has been honoured with many awards and achievements for his successful contribution in teaching and research areas.

Prof. (Dr.) L.L. Somani (b.1945) Retired Director (Rl) & Dean PG Studies, MPUAT Udaipur has over 400 papers published in National and International Journals/ Symposia, etc. and 15 dozen of books to his credit in different disciplines of Agriculture and allied field. He held different positions in MPUAT, has Spreaded highly innovative ideas, and programmes for development of Agriculture. Prof. Somani has been honoured with several awards.
