ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Dr. A. B. Sharangi is presently functioning as Associate Professor in the Department of Spices and Plantation Crops, Faculty of Horticulture, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal, India. He has teaching and research experience of around ten years in this discipline. He served as a scientist in the All India Coordinated Research Project on Palms and attended several workshops within the country. He has wide experience in the areas of Spices crop production and value addition. He has visited some Mediterranean countries including Israel and has an extensive training experience on quality horticultural crop production. Recently he has also visited Thailand and Bangladesh. He has already published about 40 research papers, two volumes of books and several popular articles in various national and international journals.
Dr. S. K. Acharya is presently functioning as Professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension, Faculty of Agriculture, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal, India. He has teaching experience of around 18 years in this discipline. He has wide experience in the area of Participatory Extension, Participatory Project Management and Micro Planning, Value Added Agriculture, Environmental Monitoring & Resouece Auditing, Universalisation of Primary Education (funded by DFID), Joint Forest Management Programme(funded by World Bank) as Resource Person. He has also vast experience in Distance Education and associated with IGNOU. Recently he visited some European countries. He has already published 70 research papers and two volumes of books.
