ABOUT THE BOOK

There is no textbook covering the content of entire course in agro-meteorology offered for undergraduate students of agricultural Universities in India. Students have to refer various books, monographs and periodicals to collects the information for various courses offered in the field of agrometeorology. The present textbook is written to satisfy this course requirements of UG students of  SAUs. The subject matter is both narrative and critical. Illustration have been added to make the subject matter all the more clear. At the end of each chapter a list of reference have been give from which most of the material in the chapter is drawn. These references will also help the post graduate student for further reading. At the end of all chapters a list of terminology of agrometeorology has also been included to help students know about term of agrometerology.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Dr. O.P. Meena acquired his bachelor’s as well as master’s degree (Agronomy) from Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner and Ph.D. (Agronomy) from MPUAT, Udaipur. He has published several articles in national journals of repute. At present he is working as Associate Professor / Training Associate in KVK, Jaisalmer.

Dr. Amit Singh Charak acquired B.Sc. (Ag.). hons from M.D.S. University, Ajmer. He did his Masters as well as Ph.D. degree in Agronomy from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur. He has published a number of research papers and technical articles in journals and magazines of repute.

Dr. Bhagwat Singh Chouhan  holds a brilliant  academic career and has acquired B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons from MPUAT, Udaipur; M.Sc. (Ag.) from JAU, Junagadh and Ph.D. (Agronomy) from MPUAT, Udaipur. Presently he is working as a Assistant Professor in B.N. University, Udaipur. He has  Published a number of research papers and technical articles in journals and magazine of national repute.

Dr. L.L. Somani is  Retired Director Resident instructions, MPUAT, Udaipur. He has over 400 research and technical articles to his credit. He has authored/edited over 125 scholarly books in various field of agriculture. Prof. Somani has been honored with several academic excellence awards for his outstanding achievements.
