This book “Agricultural Finance and Cooperation” is about an introductory idea on Agricultural Finance and Cooperation concepts. It emphasizes on the basic idea of agricultural based financial investment and promotion strategies adopted along with management hierarchy in India. It gives understanding towards the Cooperation, Banking and Insurance supporting the Agriculture and its employee.

The Book Introduces Agricultural Finance and Credit, Rural indebtedness and rural credit in India. It gives an idea on credit system and its role of institutional and Non-Institutional agencies.

The book also describes the Principles of credit like 5C’s, 3R’s and 7P’s were analyzed and compared along with farming financial. It gives an easy understanding to perform Appraisal on Balance sheet, Income statement and Cash flow statement of farm finance.

Introduction to international, regional and national – level lending agencies and its roles along with operations. Higher financial institutions in India like RBI, NABARD, AFC, ADB, World Bank and Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation of India were briefed in detail. It describes about introductory information towards rural credit policies, subsidized farm credit, DIR, KCC, KYC, relief measures and loan waiver schemes.

The book provides introduction towards the co-operation and its movements, policies. It emphasis two and three tier structure in co-operative with case study on different state cooperative credit system..

Introduction, history and functions of RBI along with financial terms and value originating have been briefed.

Lal (b.1945) Retired Director (Rl) & Dean PG Studies, MPUAT Udaipur has over 400 papers published in National and International Journals/ Symposia, etc. and 15 dozen of books to his credit in different disciplines of Agriculture and allied field. He held different positions in MPUAT, has Spreaded highly innovative ideas, and programmes for development of Agriculture. Prof. Somani has been honoured with several awards.
